Dr. (Mrs.) Sarita Pathak Yajurvedi ia an established vocalist of Hindustani Classical music of “Rampur Sadarrang Parampara”. Born in a culturally active family of Uttaranchal Sarita started learning classical music at the very tender age of five years from Pt. shankar nath Patil. An eminent musician from karnataka. At a later stagew she Continued her training in Hindustani music with the renowned classical vocalist Smt. Sulochana Brahaspati, under Guru Shishya Parampara.

Dr. (Mrs.) yajurvedi has received a large number of medals and Prizes for her performaance right from heer childhood. She recieved the Sahitya Kala parishad Scholarship from Delhi state. The National scholarship and the Daulat Ram College merit scholarship from Delhi University during her student Days. Since than she has been highly appreciated for her recitals, talents and skills not only in india, but also abroad. She has been a highly meritorious student throughout, “Comparative study of classical and vocal music eith the folk music of Uttranchal”. She has persented her deliberation on numerious topic at various seminars, including a National seminar organized by the international forum of India’s heritage, Kalidasa academy of Sanskrit, Music snd fine ars, a National seminar at Delhi University on “Well- being of child issues and challenges” and a seminar organized by “Uttarayani”, Delhi on folk music on Uttranchal.

She has given many performances of Hindustani classical vocal Music in india and abroad, which includes 5th Yuva Mohotsava organized by Sahitya Kala Parishad delhi, Indian International rural Cultural center, Delhi Acharya Brahaspati sangeet sammelan, Chandigarh, Pauri Festival, Pauri(Uttrakhand), Vimla Devi Foundation Nyas, Ayodhya Bharati Bhawan, Bhopal, I.C.C.R. Programme at Mauritius, to name a few.

She has produced Radio Serials for National Channel and Archives of All India Radio. She has lent her voice for Doordarshan. T.V. Documentaries for Discovery Channel and salam Balak Trust.

Dr. (Mrs.) Yajurvedi has been a regular artist of A.I.R and Doordarshan as a classical vocalist. She has to her credit an album with Music Today titled as “Yeh Naina”, her three DVD’s “Teach Yourself” are released by Saraswati Inc. Her book entitled ‘”Uttrakhand”: Sangeet evam Sanskrit’ has been released by chief Minister of Uttrakhand Shri Ramesh Chandra Pokhriyal “Nishnak”. As cultural secretary of “Uttarayani”, Dr. (Mrs.) Yajurvedi has been organized functions, promoting the regional folk art of uttranchal, training young artists and performing vocal recitals of classical music from time to time. Presently Dr. Yajurvedi is working as Head of the Dept. of Music ar Bharati College, university of Delhi.

Write/ Director and Anchor in a 23 episode of Radio serial for AIR Archives titled “Hindustani ShastriyaKeUtkarsh Kendra”

Currently engaged in giving lectures in Hindustani Classical Music at the CEC. CEC plays a major role in two ways interactive transmission through EDUSAT live network spread across the country in almost hundred University and Colleges for the benefit of the student. The live transmission takes place Monday to Friday and is subsequently uploaded on you tube with philosophy to provide worldwide access and anywhere anytime availability of content to higher education, called ‘VYAS’.
